1.
I was headed nowhere I'm the headed horseman No vision of a new land They can barely hear me Rustling through the leaves They barely hear me Underneath the trees Will they save us? They believe in their gods But I know the truth I'm still headed nowhere I'm the headed horseman
2.
Oceanus 04:20
His gods are sleeping Your gods bless us from here Tell me why they hid themselves for so long Gods paint the stars at night The gods that keep my family's light Sing me a song For what is a God but a source of light? And we don't know the Earth Nearly as well as we thought We need guidance Or else we are lost A greater cosmic drama Greater than Vasco de Gama
3.
I knew all along That you tried You dropped the ball You let it die And you were not there, as a father or friend You were lost in your own world What will you do if your children become like you Will you play them some songs Or make believe you did nothing wrong I know you have been scared your whole life There is still time for your child and your wife A brand new life
4.
Please open your eyes and see We are not the only ones You know we live under one sky It was this way since the dawn of life
5.
The Monkey 03:50
As my life stretched across quite well There's a monkey that put my book back on the shelf I took the book back off the shelf And recognized a former self My love went off today The monkey laughed in my face I had to find a new place We were above the canopy And took a look inside In oceans wide The lands that rake the skies Not their original selves
6.
Sacsayhuaman 03:52
Slow dead roads to arrive at the location The place for me to enter is here It's in the sky It's on the ground And we can't keep chasing it How is it your fault that you live here? This is your family This is your future and history
7.
The never-ending stretch of jungle Calls to me again We listen to our mothers And reason with our brothers And I sat down by the palm trees And you didn't say a word to me
8.
The Shaman 04:49
I am the shaman Picking fruits from the tree A place for me in time I am the shaman I am the one that looks after you And that is you I am the shaman

about

The Rain Gods is an ode to the rainforest and all of its people. A man who has lived for many years is offered a choice by the medicine man of his tribe. He soon realizes the world he inhabits is alive with gods.
