A solar system is unified in space under a common religion and common language. This human civilization has reached a high level of technological advancement, living in space stations at different locations within their star cluster, and modifying their bodies and DNA with various bio-mechanical features. The entire culture is interconnected by a large scale neural computer network, which simultaneously controls the inner workings of their cosmic homes, as well as regulate their health and modifications. One day, an unknown viral worm appears in the central system, asserting itself as "Thraxus", and claiming to be a living organism whose goal is total integration with the system's Primary Brain. A group of young scientists, outfitted with the latest weaponry, attempt to terminate the fervid intruder.
