It's critical analysis and in-depth descriptions of the practices and beliefs of early Christians remains as captivating as ever.

John Allegro has been left with an unfortunate legacy as the primary figure of controversy among Christian academics because of his theories. This work is dedicated to Allegro and his genius decoding of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
