After the Great Fall, the Librarian and accompanying Forerunners decide to take the ship Audacity into what is known to humanity as the Large Magellenic Cloud, or Path Kethona. There, they find a race of settled Forerunners who are aware of a impending plot of extermination through the newly constructed Omega Halo device.
